I bought a 99 Mercure villager in 2003 while I was living in bklyn at an auto mall,?
lately the alarm has been acting the fool. I think I need to totally dismantle it? Do I have to take it to the mercury dealer to have it done?
I bought a new battery end of december

Depends upon the alarm, but if it doesn’t have Ford/mercury/ or nissan (who built the villager for Ford), then it’s a aftermarket alarm and the dealer will tell you to take it somewhere else… Normally that is what I run into is aftermarket kits causing weird stuff like that
Sure they could do it.
Just a heads up for you! Some factory alarms give you notice of a battery that is on it’s way out. If the battery voltage drops to a certain level the alarm will sound as it interprets the voltage drop as a theft attempt.
have the alarm disabled, any shop should be able to disable it
