When i got my car alarm installed they gave me 2 remote key fobs. When the battery ran out on the first one, I replaced the batteries but now the remote doesn’t disarm the alram. Luckily my spare remote key fob does work. Does any one know if this has something to do with the rolling codes technology it uses? If so, how do synch up the codes with my non working remote key fob?
Additional note, the dealership did not give me the users manual after I got it installed.

I reside in Indiana. I recently had a car alarm installed on my car and my insurance company (IDS Property and Casualty) informed me that since I resided in Indiana, I could not get a discount on mauto insurance.

I knew that you could not get a discount for having a Lojack installed in Indiana.

My car alarm has auto arming which activates 30 seconds after closing doors. It also has a dome light security feature. They are working fine.
When I turn the dome light switch in the car to "off". It does not auto arming. Is it how it supposed to work? Thanks.

I got a Auto-Mate car security alarm installed in my Acura Integra in ‘95. I got into a situation where my car security alarm is armed and making a loud noise and I am not able to reset the alarm. My remote doesn’t work now. And the driver side lock is damaged as somebody tried to break into the car. I had to disconnect the battery to stop the alarm. I am not able to start the car while the alarm sounds (with battery connected).
I have all the security codes and other info for the car alarm. Not sure how to use it though. Would really appreciate if I could get the contact info for the Auto-Mate.

I bought a truck from where I used to work and it has an Auto Starter and a Car Alarm that were on it when they bought it new from the dealer.

Both have been going off on their own and I would like to disconnect them. I haven’t found a spot for either in the fuse boxes but I just want to disconnect them. Where should I look for them?
